Knock Museum to host ‘Learning from Art’ from the National Gallery of Ireland
18 February 2010
For the month of March Knock Museum will host a temporary exhibition entitled ‘Learning from Art’ from the National Gallery of Ireland. The exhibition is the result of an outreach programme conducted between 1999-2003 by the education department at the National Gallery. The purpose of the programme was to encourage students to observe and engage with the permanent collection of artwork on display and respond to this work in the form of an artwork, a poem, or a piece of prose.
To launch this exciting exhibition, Castlebar-based artist Sinéad Wall will be conducting an on-site outreach workshop, which will be attended by local secondary school art students on Wednesday 3 March from 1. 30- 2. 20 pm. All are welcome to attend.
